Meet Adrian Michael Lee

Founder of Corrective Pain Relief | Osteopath | Rehabilitation Professional

Helping people overcome pain, restore movement and return confidently to the activities they enjoy through evidence-based osteopathy, rehabilitation and collaborative healthcare.

Adrian’s Approach to Care

Understanding the Person Behind the Pain

Adrian believes effective healthcare begins with listening. Every patient has a different story, lifestyle and reason for seeking treatment, which is why care should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach.

Rather than focusing solely on where pain is felt, Adrian takes time to understand the wider picture, how symptoms developed, how the body is moving, what may be contributing to the problem and, importantly, what the patient wants to get back to doing.

His approach combines osteopathic assessment and hands-on treatment with rehabilitation, movement education and personalised advice, helping patients understand their condition and take an active role in their recovery.

Treatment may involve a combination of manual therapy, joint mobilisation or manipulation, soft tissue techniques, medical acupuncture or dry needling, cupping and exercise rehabilitation. The techniques used are always selected according to the individual, their clinical findings, preferences and goals.

Where further investigation or another healthcare professional may be better placed to help, Adrian also works alongside a trusted network of healthcare providers across Manchester to help patients access appropriate additional care.

Ultimately, the aim extends beyond simply reducing pain. To help people understand their bodies, restore confidence in movement and return to the activities that matter to them.

Qualifications & Professional Experience

Over a Decade of Experience in Health, Movement & Rehabilitation

Adrian’s career in health and movement began before qualifying as an osteopath. Starting as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, he developed an early understanding of exercise, movement and physical performance while working with people of different ages, abilities and fitness levels.

His growing interest in helping people experiencing pain and injury led him to undertake four years of professional training at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in London, completing a Master’s Degree in Osteopathic Medicine (M.Ost) alongside a Diploma in Naturopathy (ND) in 2016.

Since qualifying, Adrian has built extensive clinical experience assessing and treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions, from everyday neck and back pain to sports injuries, persistent pain and more complex presentations.

His background in both osteopathy and physical rehabilitation has shaped an approach that combines hands-on treatment with movement, exercise and patient education, helping people not only manage their symptoms but understand how to support their recovery beyond the treatment room.

Why I Created Corrective Pain Relief

Building the Kind of Care I Believe In

After years of working with patients across different clinical and rehabilitation settings, Adrian wanted to create an environment where care extended beyond simply treating symptoms.

Corrective Pain Relief was founded around a simple principle: take the time to understand the individual, identify the factors contributing to their problem and provide the right combination of treatment, rehabilitation and guidance to help them move forward.

Adrian’s background in osteopathy, personal training and physical rehabilitation shaped this approach. He had seen first-hand that hands-on treatment could be extremely valuable, but also recognised that long-term recovery often requires more, understanding movement, developing strength and mobility, building confidence and giving patients the knowledge to take an active role in their own health.

This became the foundation of Corrective Pain Relief.

Adrian’s background in personal training also influences his approach to rehabilitation and his relationships with personal trainers and fitness professionals across Manchester.

More Than Treatment Alone

The aim of the clinic is not to create dependency on treatment.

Instead, Adrian wants patients to understand:

What may be contributing to their symptoms.
What they can do to support their recovery.
How they can gradually return to the activities they enjoy.

For some people, that might mean returning to work without persistent discomfort. For others, it could mean running again, getting back into the gym, preparing for a sporting event or simply being able to move through everyday life with greater confidence.

Whatever the goal, care is built around the individual rather than a predetermined treatment formula.

HEAL. MOVE. THRIVE.

HEAL.

Understand the problem, reduce symptoms and create the foundations for recovery.

MOVE.

Restore mobility, strength and confidence through treatment and progressive rehabilitation.

THRIVE.

Move beyond recovery towards long-term health, resilience and the activities that make life enjoyable.

These principles continue to shape how Corrective Pain Relief approaches patient care today.

Education & Mentoring

Helping Develop the Next Generation of Fitness Professionals

Alongside his clinical career, Adrian has extensive experience in education, mentoring and professional development within the health and fitness industry.

As a mentor and assessor for personal training qualifications, he has supported hundreds of aspiring fitness professionals through classroom teaching, practical assessment and one-to-one coaching.

This experience required more than demonstrating exercises. It involved helping students develop an understanding of movement, exercise prescription, communication, professional standards and how to adapt their approach to the individual in front of them.

From Teaching to Patient Care

Adrian’s experience as an educator continues to influence the way he works as an osteopath today.

Rather than simply providing treatment, he believes patients should understand their condition, the reasoning behind their treatment plan and the steps they can take to support their own recovery.

Good healthcare shouldn’t just provide treatment. It should give people the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in their own health.

Beyond the Clinic

The Person Behind the Osteopath

Healthcare is personal, and Adrian believes the relationship between practitioner and patient matters. Away from the treatment room, many of the interests that shape his approach to healthcare are also part of his own everyday life.

Movement, family, community and maintaining a balanced lifestyle remain important to him both personally and professionally.

🏃 A Lifelong Interest in Movement

Sport and physical activity have been part of Adrian’s life from an early age, beginning with swimming, cricket and rugby before developing into a broader interest in health, fitness and human movement.

Over the years, his own training has included strength training, running, padel, swimming, yoga, calisthenics, bouldering and functional fitness. This experience continues to influence his understanding of movement, rehabilitation and the physical demands involved in returning to training following injury.

Following his Master’s degree, Adrian competed in fitness modelling and bodybuilding, earning professional cards with Miami Pro and Pure Elite. More recently, his competitive interests have included HYROX, combining strength, endurance and functional fitness.

Experiencing training, competition, injury and recovery personally has helped give Adrian an appreciation for something many patients understand well: being able to return to the activities you enjoy can be just as important as simply becoming pain-free.

Being able to move confidently isn’t just about physical health, it allows us to continue doing the things that make life enjoyable.

🌍 Family, Travel & Perspective

Born in Australia and raised in West London, Adrian has family connections across both the UK and Australia.

Family remains an important part of his life, and travelling and spending time with the people closest to him provides a valuable balance to the demands of clinical practice.

His background and experiences across different places and communities have also contributed to the open, approachable style he brings to patient care.

ðŸū Life with Four-Legged Visitors

Adrian is a proud dog-uncle to Ebony, an energetic Yorkipoo, and has always been an animal lover. Four-legged visitors to the clinic may even discover that there are occasionally dog treats waiting for them too.

🐝 Building a Life in Manchester

Since making Manchester home, Adrian has become increasingly involved in the city’s active and professional communities.

From healthcare and fitness to sport, local businesses and community connections, he values building genuine relationships with the people and organisations around him, something that has also influenced the collaborative approach behind Corrective Pain Relief.

Beyond the Clinic

Working Alongside Manchester’s Healthcare Professionals

The Right Care, from the Right Professional

Adrian believes good healthcare also means recognising when a patient may benefit from another professional’s expertise.

While many musculoskeletal problems can be assessed and managed through osteopathic treatment and rehabilitation, there are occasions where diagnostic imaging, medical assessment, physiotherapy or specialist intervention may provide valuable additional information or support.

Rather than viewing different healthcare professions in isolation, Adrian believes the best outcomes can often come from professionals working collaboratively, with the patient’s needs remaining at the centre of every decision.

Through Corrective Pain Relief, Adrian has developed relationships with healthcare professionals and providers across Manchester, creating trusted pathways for patients who may require additional investigation, treatment or specialist input.
