How to perform this exercise:

  • You’ll need something sofa height or the second step at home
  • Start by standing with a little distance apart with one leg on
  • Ensure to keep the knee straight with the leg that is raised throughout the movement
  • Allow the head to go forward and buttock back
  • As this happens, allow the knee on the floor to go forward
  • Ensure the opposite leg stays straight to feel a stretch in the inner thigh


  • Make sure not to lift the heel of the side that you lean
  • Use support if you need to use it
  • Look to gradually separate the legs further to increase the stretch
  • Keep the back as straight as possible throughout
