Not enough time that you tell yourself you can’t get around to doing some essential exercises? What I will show you can be done at home and, if exercise accessories are needed, at minimal cost. The videos below are a combination of beginner and advanced exercises to improve mobility, core strength and posture.

Advanced Side Plank Variation – Part 1

How to perform this stretch:

• Start on the floor – a mat may be required
• Ensure the elbow is under the shoulder
• Keep the toes and legs straight
• With every exhale, see if you can go further forward with the body

 

 

Variations:

  1. Twist
  2. Up And Down
  3. Side Reach

Advanced Side Plank Variation – Part 2

How to perform this stretch:

• Start on the floor – a mat may be required
• Ensure the hand is under the shoulder
• Keep the toes and legs straight
• With every exhale, see if you can go further forward with the body

  2. Up And Down
  3. Side Reach

Single Leg Deadlift (Warrior Pose Variation)

How to perform this stretch:

 

Option 1: Hold onto something stable for support
Option 2: Use no support

 

• Start in a standing position with knees slightly bent and relaxed
• Reach one hand towards the opposite foot
• At the same time reach the same side leg to that hand back and up
• Keep the back leg knee as straight as possible and reach up by squeezing the buttock
• You should now be in a “T position” where the head, hips and foot are level
• Return upright driving the knee up and repeat

 

Remember: Avoid arching the lower back and neck
